Harry Priestley House receives ‘Outstanding’ rating from regulator CQC

Harry Priestley House, in Doncaster, has achieved an ‘Outstanding’ rating following its latest inspection by care regulator the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

Following an inspection in May and June 2026, CQC’s report mentioned:

It’s clear the service was committed to treating people as individuals and empowering them to achieve their goals and lead fulfilling lives.

The report added:

Kind and caring staff understood people’s needs and went the extra mile to ensure they were happy, content and fully supported.

This puts Harry Priestley House, which provides dedicated support to adults with learning disabilities for up to 12 residents, amongst the top 3.5% of care homes in the UK that have received the highest rating by CQC (source: carehome.co.uk). It is also the fourth Home to be rated ‘Outstanding’ for RMBI Care Co., the charity that operates Harry Priestley House.

The Home was praised by CQC who said:

People and their relatives told us they were very happy with the care describing wonderful staff who fostered great relationships with people. People knew every member of staff and were able to engage and communicate with them openly and with confidence they would be supported with kindness and compassion.
