Residents living at Zetland Court, in Bournemouth, have recently enjoyed a refreshing trip to the seaside, taking in the sights and sounds of Alum Chine beach over a series of outings. The visits took place across three days, allowing residents to participate in small groups and make the most of the experience.
Among those who attended were residents Joan and Jan, who were delighted to spend time by the sea. They said:
It feels great to be here. The weather couldn’t be nicer!
Organised by Natasha Finn, Business Relationship Manager at Zetland Court, the trips were offered to residents who expressed an interest in going out. Those who wished to attend were supported to take part, ensuring the outings were safe, inclusive and tailored to residents’ preferences.
During each visit, residents enjoyed a gentle walk along the beach, followed by a well-earned ice cream while soaking up the fresh, coastal atmosphere. The sunny mornings provided the perfect backdrop for relaxation, conversation and creating special memories together.

It was wonderful to see how much the residents enjoyed their time at the beach. Something as simple as a walk by the sea and an ice cream can make such a difference, and the smiles on their faces said it all.
Outings such as these not only promote physical activity, but also support emotional wellbeing by reconnecting residents with enjoyable experiences. We also captured some amazing photos that we will all treasure.
