Harry Priestley House staff take on Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge in memory of their colleague

Kind hearted staff at Harry Priestley House, in Thorne, Doncaster, recently completed the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge in memory of their colleague. Carer Kelly Palmer, who worked at the care home for five years, sadly passed away earlier this year and her friends were eager to show support for her family and honour Kelly’s life.

Seven staff members, alongside 11 friends of Kelly, completed the 24 miles challenge in the Yorkshire Dales, raising over £2600. The hike trial included Pen-y-Ghent 2277ft, Whernside 2415ft and Ingleborough 3272 ft.

Completing the hike, Becky Crewe, a housekeeper at Harry Priestley House, said:

It was a wonderful team effort and everyone was so motivated to complete the challenge in memory of Kelly. We are so grateful of the support we have been given from everyone who sponsored us, I can’t believe how much we have raised!
