Residents can benefit from:

• Wonderful grounds with a beautifully maintained garden and veranda, as well as a number of lounges and a shop.
• Our Dementia House includes a courtyard sensory garden and sensory room, Magic Table, memory boxes, tablets and laptops to support communication and engagement.
• Advice on dementia related issues for families and the wider community, providing information, listening to their experiences as well as encouraging them to speak openly about this condition.
• In the main building, we have a dedicated area for people living with early-stage dementia, which can support up to nine residents. The area has its own comfortable lounge for residents to relax and enjoy.
• We host regular activities from handicrafts and exercise classes to sing-alongs, art classes, pamper sessions and weekly residents’ meeting. We also have visits from local musicians, singers and other entertainers.
• Our adapted vehicle supports residents to stay connected with their communities, from trips to the beach and other areas of interest.

Most of our care staff have achieved, or are working towards an NVQ/QCF in Health and Social Care.

We have a 24-hour nurse call system installed in all our residents’ rooms. Some of the residents have a personal alarm to carry, so they can call for assistance if required.

To support our residents’ health and wellbeing, we have a dedicated Activities Coordinator who organise a variety of activities, community initiatives, as well as trips outside of the Home.

Please note that the level of care each person receives will depend on their individual needs. This is continuously monitored and reviewed to ensure each person receives the right level of care. Staffing levels may be adjusted in different areas of the Home to support the level of care required by residents at any particular point in time.
