Residents at The Tithebarn, in Great Crosby, received a wonderful morale boost this week, thanks to the pupils of Crosby High School.
Like most other care homes, The Tithebarn is closed to all but essential visitors because of the threat of Coronavirus to its residents.
Kind-hearted teachers had the idea of making colourful cards to send to the residents with uplifting messages. The children were only too happy to oblige and made the cards just before their school closed.
Mary Piert, Activities Coordinator at The Tithebarn, said:
“Our residents were thrilled when all the wonderful cards and drawings arrived from the children. It was a fantastic surprise and a great morale boost! They took it in turns to read each and every one of them. It meant such a lot to us.”
