We are pleased to confirm that there are currently no restrictions on visiting our Homes, as we continue to align with Government guidance regarding the reduction of risk from transmitting respiratory infections such as COVID-19, influenza and other such infections. We do however ask that if visitors are feeling unwell, they avoid visiting the Home until such time as they feel well again.
We continue to work hard to ensure that safety of our residents, staff and visitors by maintaining high standards of infection prevention and control, and we ask that our visitors support us in this by maintaining high standards hand hygiene.
Care home staff continue to wear a face mask whenever they are delivering personal care to reduce the risk of infection, and where we do experience positive test results connected to one of our Homes, masks will be worn by all staff at all times until it is safe for these to be removed. In the event that staff are wearing masks around the Home, we would ask that visitors also support this by wearing a mask where they are able to do so.
All eligible residents have now been offered and received their Covid-19 vaccinations and we work closely with our local health authorities to administer boosters as necessary. Most of our staff are also fully vaccinated.
In line with Government guidance, care home residents can now participate in out-of-home visits without having to self-isolate on their return to their care home. Although this remains under review with the English Government at the present time.
Our Homes are safely able to welcome new residents, support family visits and provide Home tours, thanks to our robust infection prevention and control measures.
Over the last two years and over the difficult period in those two years, the home has proved to be safe and reliable in caring for my father.
Son of a resident at Scarbrough Court, Northumberland
All over COVID lockdown, the staff kept me updated with how mum was doing. They have supported me as well as mum. I particularly want to praise all the staff who are so kind and deal with dementia patients with kindness and compassion. They have looked after my mum as if she was a member of their own family.

My mum was transferred to Cornwallis Court from the hospital due to COVID. Ever since April 2020, she has been looked after very well, her health is always foremost and all her needs are met. The staff are friendly and happy.
