As part of RMBI Care Co.’s commitment to making health and safety a priority for everyone in its care homes, the charity has hosted its third annual Health and Safety Week (HandS Week) for all staff.
Between 18th and 24th October, the Health and Safety Team organised a wide range of fun and interactive events to help educate and remind staff of the correct procedures and protocols, and what to do when presented with different scenarios. The week’s events included online competitions with £200 worth of high street vouchers available to win, entertaining comedy cartoons, insightful drop-in Q&A zoom sessions, informal presentations and didactic case studies.
HandS Week 2021 was really well received and staff throughout the organisation took part. Colleagues teamed up to enter competitions and the online sessions provided a useful platform for staff to speak openly about different topics,
said the Health and Safety Director, Brett Edwards.
We believe in promoting a positive health and safety culture through positive reinforcement. We simply ‘do’ health and safety because it is the right thing to do, even when no one is looking,
added Brett.
