Prince George Duke of Kent Court, in Chislehurst, have celebrated Elf Day 2021 to raise funds and awareness for Alzheimer’s Society.
To mark the event on 3 December, staff members at the care home cheekily dressed up as elves or in their Christmas jumpers for a day of festive fun and cheer. Decorations including a colourful tree, holly, snowflakes and Christmas ornaments were also put up around the Home to help get residents and staff in the Christmas spirit!
To support Alzheimer’s Society, residents, their families and staff joined in a special raffle with exciting prizes up for grabs, helping to raise over £200 for the charity.
Simon Doherty, Home Manager, said:
We had a lot of fun celebrating Elf Day. Seeing our staff dressed up as elves certainly put a smile on our residents’ faces and we all had a good laugh. We see the effects of dementia every day at our Home, so we’re passionate about helping our residents to live well at every stage of their lives, and by supporting charities like Alzheimer’s Society.
