RMBI Care Co. appoints new Regional Operations Manager for central region

Denise O’Brien has been announced as Regional Operations Manager for Homes in the central region at RMBI Care Co.

I love working for such a supportive organisation that gives staff the tools to learn and develop on a daily basis,” says Denise, who has been working as Home Manager at Cornwallis Court in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, for the last five years.

Denise and her team at Cornwallis Court achieved an ‘Outstanding’ rating by the Care Quality Commission, following an inspection in July 2023. She says it is the highlight of her career since joining the charity.

Eager to start her new role, Denise reveals she is looking forward to “supporting her Home Managers in the central region to develop and engender team working for the benefit of our residents.”

With a career spanning over 20 years in the care sector, Denise has taken on management positions with independent care providers and NHS Trusts. She has experience working in a variety of specialist settings, including mental health and supporting older people, brain injuries rehabilitation, learning and physical disabilities.

Supporting the central Homes to attain the dementia EMBRACE accreditation – a suite of modules created within RMBI Care Co. to raise and maintain dementia care standards – as well as refurbishment works at several Homes, are both high on the agenda for Denise.

Denise takes over from Matt Capener, who retires in June 2024 after five years with the charity. The central Homes include Cornwallis Court, in Suffolk; James Terry Court, in Croydon; Prince Edward Duke of Kent Court, in Essex; Prince George Duke of Kent Court, in Kent; and Prince Michael of Kent Court, in Hertfordshire.
