In our Dementia House, we can care for up to 19 people with three carers on duty during the day, and two carers at night, with a Dementia Lead supervising.
Our nursing area can support up to 20 people and is managed by a Registered Nurse, who leads a team of six care staff during the day and three at night.
Most of our care staff have achieved, or are working towards an NVQ/QCF in Health and Social Care. A Clinical Lead Nurse is also available and oversees the safe and effective care delivered by our staff.
We have a 24-hour nurse call system installed in all our residents’ rooms. All of the residents have a personal alarm to carry, so they can call for assistance if required.
We have two dedicated Activities Coordinator who organises a variety of activities as well as trips outside of the Home, to support our residents’ health and wellbeing.
We have staff who are fluent Welsh speakers.
Please note that the level of care each person receives will depend on their individual needs. This is continuously monitored and reviewed to ensure each person receives the right level of care. Staffing levels may be adjusted in different areas of the Home to support the level of care required by residents at any particular point in time.
