Boots support RMBI Care Co.’s Menopause strategy with skin serum to support staff

Leading health and beauty retailer Boots has shown support for RMBI Care Co.’s commitment to becoming an accredited Menopause Friendly organisation.
To support staff affected by the menopause, the retailer kindly provided 1,500 samples of their Boots Edit Blemish Serum. This product has been specially designed to target key signs of menopausal skin.
According to Skills for Care, a workforce development and planning body for social care in England, over a quarter of adult social care staff are aged 55 and over, with the average age being 44. Similarly, perimenopause and menopause (which are a natural part of a woman’s life course) usually occur between the ages of 45 and 55, as a woman’s oestrogen levels drop. Over 80% of staff that make up the workforce at RMBI Care Co. are female.
RMBI Care Co.’s Managing Director, Mark LLoyd, said:
Our journey began in 2021, when we created a new menopause policy. Wellbeing Champions in each of our care homes have since come up with creative ways to raise awareness amongst staff and have shared resources about the menopause. Also, our Manager’s Guide provides clear support and guidance to those who may be affected.
