Zetland Court residents showcase their knitting skills for a student-led news outlet

Earlier this year, residents at Zetland Court, in Bournemouth, put their creative skills into use by knitting baby hats and blankets. Their goal was to donate the hats and blankets to the local NHS maternity ward. After reaching out to the ward, staff were delighted to hear that these handmade items would help provide comfort for newborns and their families.

The inspiring initiative caught the attention of Libby Evans, a Multimedia Journalism student at Bournemouth University, who aspires to become a Broadcast Journalist. Libby visited Zetland Court to interview the residents for BUzz News, the universityโ€™s student-run news outlet, capturing their enthusiasm and dedication to the project. This shows how residents and staff at Zetland Court engage with their local community and get involved in inter-generational activities.
