RMBI Care Co.’s Managing Director to step down from charity

Having served RMBI Care Co. for almost nine years, Mark LLoyd has made the difficult decision to step down as Managing Director at RMBI Care Co.

“It has been a great privilege to work alongside such dedicated, passionate and hardworking teams, and I believe our charity is currently in a strong position,” said Mark, announcing his decision. “With my family, I feel the time is right to step down from full-time employment.”

During Mark’s leadership, RMBI Care Co.’s reputation in the social care sector has progressed immensely, which is reflected in the multiple awards received in various Homes and other areas of the organisation. A new development programme has also commenced during this time, with one new-build Home completed and another Home currently underway.

Mark adds:

I am humbled by the professional, kind and caring service provided by our staff to residents, their families, and each other every day. I believe this has set a solid foundation for my successor to take the charity to the next stage.

Mark will step down as Managing Director in June 2025.

Two men are standing in a room, and one is presenting the other with a dark-blue award or prize. The man on the left, who seems to be receiving the award, is middle-aged, with short, graying hair and glasses. He is wearing a dark-navy or gray-blue suit jacket over a light patterned or striped shirt. The jacket's lapels seem to match the color of the shirt. Light beige or cream-colored trousers complete his attire. His posture and expression suggest a pleasant reception of the award.

The man on the right, presenting the award, is also middle-aged with short brown hair. He is wearing a white, long-sleeved dress shirt and dark-colored pants, along with a dark belt. He is in the act of presenting a decorative, dark-blue trophy or a similar award, holding it somewhat prominently. His facial expression displays celebration and/or pride.

Both men are standing in a room with light beige or tan-colored walls. The walls have a subtle vertical paneling effect with trim around the baseboard area. There are small, square, light-reflective objects on the wall above the men, likely decor or signage.

Mark LLoyd receives a Special Recognition Award, presented by Chair of Trustees, John Boyington CBE, at the charity’s annual conference in November 2024.

John Boyington CBE, on behalf of the Board of Trustees, said: “We are obviously saddened that Mark will be stepping down but completely understand his wish to move to the next stage of his life.

Mark has been a tremendous asset to RMBI Care Co., providing exceptional leadership, compassion and care for all who are touched by its services.

“We look forward to continuing to work with him over the next few months to retain the excellence of service that his efforts have helped to create and to celebrate his achievements as our Managing Director.

“We will now begin to consider how we move forward with Mark’s replacement and will keep you all informed.”
