RMBI Care Co.’s Training Managers have been recognised for their exceptional work to support staff training and development. They were each presented with an award for ‘Outstanding Performance in Training and Development’ by Managing Director Mark LLoyd on behalf of the charity at Freemasons’ Hall, in London.

The award acknowledges the team’s hard work and commitment involved in delivering high-quality training to care staff throughout its Homes. Amongst the Training Managers’ achievements, overall compliance for the charity stood at an impressive 96% at the end of 2024.

The strength of the Learning and Development (L&D) team was also recognised at RMBI Care Co.’s annual conference in November 2024, where Claire Dodd, Assistant Director for L&D, along with L&D Managers Jane Baldwin and Sarah-Jane Newbury, received the Team of the Year award for their work across the charity, which collectively spans almost 35 years. The team’s activities are consistently one of the highest rated areas from staff in the charity’s employee engagement surveys.

Managing Director Mark LLoyd thanked the Training Managers for their hard work to “ensure training remains at such high levels and for the support provided to Homes’ staff during their induction programmes and ongoing careers with RMBI Care Co.”

Staff member Omotayo, who recently completed her Care Certificate at Barford Court, in Hove, spoke about the positive impact of the training:

The past few months have been a journey of learning and growth. The support from everyone, especially our Training Manager Nora, has really helped. Her encouragement and guidance has made all the difference, and I feel well prepared to move forward and make a positive impact in care!

Resident Jean, who lives at Prince Michael of Kent Court, in Watford, Hertfordshire, recently took part in a dementia awareness session by the Home’s Training Manager, Kelly Harrowing. Jean said:

I found the session to be very informative and a real eye-opener to the way that dementia can effect a person.
