A group of kind-hearted children from Green Top Primary School have brought joy to residents at Harry Priestley House, in Thorne, Doncaster, with their handmade cards.
In return for their generous gifts, the residents made some flower lollies as a treat for the children.
Anne Stobart, Home Manager at Harry Priestley House, said:
It was such a delight to receive the colourful cards from the school children of Green Top Primary School. It lifted our residents’ spirits up. We are looking forward to doing more activities with them in the next few months.
The Home’s staff believe that bringing children into Harry Priestley House supports the residents’ mental health and wellbeing by spending time together, exchanging experiences, and engaging in activities.
Furthermore, this allows residents to have a presence in their local communities. Thanks to these initiatives, they are able to stay connected, which has a huge positive impact on their wellbeing.
