Cadogan Court, in Exeter, recently hosted a meeting for Freemasons organised by St. Thomas Lodge. The gathering was supported by The Association of Friends of Cadogan Court. The Association of Friends is an independent charity made up of volunteers that work closely with the Home by befriending residents and organising fundraising activities to help enhance the residents’ lives.
A brief paper on the First Degree Working Tools was delivered by Tim Calder from St Thomas Lodge, which refers to symbolic instruments that represent important concepts and values, along with tea and cakes served afterwards.
Dr. Leo Clarke, Secretary of The Association of Friends of Cadogan Court, said:
We had a very successful event at Cadogan Court which included several residents, members of St Thomas Lodge and representatives from the Home’s Association of Friends. Working closely with Cadogan Court is important for us and helps to strengthen ties with the local community of Freemasons.
