Connaught Court Home Manager highly commended for dementia care at the Yorkshire and Humber Great British Care Awards

Home Manager Marinda Aydinalp has been highly commended in the Dementia Carer category for the Yorkshire and Humber region at the Great British Care Awards. The awards ceremony, which took place on 7 November at the Royal Armouries Museum, in Leeds, paid tribute to those individuals who have demonstrated outstanding excellence within their field of work in the care sector.

Marinda has worked at RMBI Care Co., which operates 17 care homes in England and Wales for older people, for over 10 years. She has led as Home Manager at Connaught Court, in York, since 2022.

Marinda is passionate about improving the lives of people living with dementia through compassion, consistency, and innovation. She is proud to support residents to live well with dignity and purpose. She says:

I am absolutely delighted to receive the High Commendation at the Great British Care Awards. I wouldn’t have obtained this recognition without the continuous support from our team of staff. They run our Dementia houses with absolute dedication, making sure that residents have meaningful experiences.

The awards highlighted that

In July, Marinda and her team of staff at Connaught Court, received an EMBRACE Dementia Accreditation for outstanding support, care and attention dedicated to residents living with dementia and their loved ones. The accreditation was presented by The Right Honourable Lord Mayor of York, Councillor Martin Rowley BEM, in an official ceremony.
