It’s the day when thousands of people join in a worldwide celebration of books and reading. Residents at Harry Priestley House, in Thorne, Doncaster, enjoyed dressing up as their favourite book characters to mark the 25th anniversary of World Book Day earlier this month. To celebrate the event, the Home’s staff organised a tea party and a mini disco which the residents thoroughly enjoyed.

Our residents and staff at Harry Priestley House had a fantastic time celebrating World Book Day this year. We really enjoy dressing up. There were smiles all around as residents enjoyed the tea party.
