Harry Priestley House, in Thorne, Doncaster, has been recognised as a ‘Top 20 Care Home’ in Yorkshire and The Humber with a current review score of 9.9/10.
The award highlights the most recommended care home providers in the UK. Scores are based on reviews and recommendations received on carehome.co.uk, a leading care home review website with over 15 million visits per year and over 300,000 reviews by residents and their loved ones.
Harry Priestley House supports up to 12 adults with learning disabilities, including all aspects of care and social support, helping residents play an active part in their local community. Anne Stobart, Home Manager at Harry Priestley House, said:
We’re thrilled to be recognised as a ‘Top 20 Home’ in our local area. We initially received the award in 2022, so it’s great to see our efforts being rewarded again. Our residents mean the world to our staff and we feel proud and privileged to do what we do.
Anne was also recognised for her team’s work in the local community in November 2023, when she was awarded the ‘Superhero’ award at Green Top Primary School. The nominations were put forward by parents and children.
She said:
The team at our care home are passionate about involving our residents in their community, and we work closely with the local school and church to help us achieve this goal.
