ExploreSet in nine acres of woodland, Shannon Court is a beautifully renovated Edwardian country home, situated in the picturesque village of Hindhead in Surrey. We provide residential care and residential dementia support for up to 53 residents with permanent care or short stay respite breaks.
We have 52 rooms in an old Edwardian House. Each of those rooms are unique with their own special views over the grounds of the Home and they all have ensuite facilities, which enables residents to be as independent as possible.

Residents can benefit from;
- Large garden and woodland areas to walk through, courtyards with a scented garden, fishpond and a summer house. We also have an activities room, cinema, bar and shop.
- The Dementia Houses have sensory gardens and dementia friendly signage. There is also sensory and virtual reality rooms, sensory blankets and memory boxes to support reminiscence and engagement.
- We host regular activities from chair exercise classes, a poetry club, carpet bowls, beauty treatments, quizzes, arts and crafts to visits from musicians, dance classes, Zoolab (wild animal experiences) and Music for Health sessions.
- Our minibus supports residents to stay connected with their communities, from day trips around Surrey, Hampshire and other areas of interest.

Food and Nutrition
Shannon Court can support up to 30 people in the residential area of our Home. In our Dementia House we can support up to 23 people. We use a staff dependency tool to determine the agreed staffing levels for each area of our Home, which varies upon our residents’ needs at any given time. These levels are monitored and reviewed regularly so staffing ratios can be adjusted according to the needs of our residents.
