Explore our ratingSituated in the beautiful Essex countryside, Prince Edward Duke of Kent Court is a Grade II listed property with stunning period features dating back to 1825. We provide residential care and residential dementia support for up to 50 residents and we can support permanent care and respite stays.
We’re passionate about caring for older people and helping our residents to live well. We provide personalised care, along with unique activities to support our residents’ health and wellbeing.

Residents can benefit from:
- Beautiful surrounding grounds complete with a golf course, woodlands, a walled garden and an inner courtyard.
- We have two golf buggies (one specially adapted for wheelchair use) used as Safari Shuttles for residents to enjoy the grounds.
- Residents can enjoy a drink and a game of darts in our very own bar, or watch a film on our large cinema screen.
- The Dementia House has its own sensory garden, dementia friendly signage, a dementia bike and tablets to support communication.
- We host regular activities from looking after the Home’s resident pets to visits from Fred’s Academy (Amateur Dramatics), a monthly playgroup with the local pre-school, Beavers’ meeting, singing and entertainment.
- Our minibus supports residents to stay connected with their communities, from trips to Stisted Village and nearby shops, garden centres and other areas of interest.

Food and Nutrition
Prince Edward Duke of Kent Court can support up to 30 people in the residential area of our Home. In our Dementia House we can support up to 20 people. We use a staff dependency tool to determine the agreed staffing levels for each area of our Home, which varies upon our residents’ needs at any given time. These levels are monitored and reviewed regularly so staffing ratios can be adjusted according to the needs of our residents.
